How does it work?
These sessions are such an incredibly easy way to update your family portraits! No need to wait for a special occasion, any age is the best age to capture your kids. Here’s how it all works:
Step 1: Book your mini kids and family photoshoot and fill out a questionnaire
Go to the booking form, simply choose a time that suits and select the package of your choice. Fill out a short questionnaire to help me know you better and plan your session and start choosing your outfits!
Step 2: Show up for your mini photography session
Simply show up for your dedicated time slot and spend some lovely time with your nearest and dearest while I capture your beautiful portraits. This will be a fun and relaxed experience and will last approximately 25 minutes. Plenty of time for a variety of portraits, but not enough for kids and dads to get bored!
Step 3: Choose your favourite portraits
I will email you within a week or so with a link to your online gallery. Have a look at your portraits and select your favourites or opt to have them all. Options to choose additional products such as prints, gifts and wall art will also be available.
Step 4: Keep and treasure your family portraits forever
Download and admire your portraits, print them out and share with family and friends. The moment of your family as you are right now is captured and will be treasured forever. It really is that simple!

One of the most important things for me when designing these sessions in collaboration with The Nest was to ensure that they are not only easy and fun, but also affordable. We all know that family photography is a luxury and with the cost of living crisis not everyone can afford to capture their special moments. I truly believe that every family deserves beautiful portraits and want to ensure that the mini family photoshoots in Edinburgh are affordable for more families which is why the pricing reflects that. Who can book a mini photoshoot?
Great question! These mini sessions are a fantastic way to capture your family at whatever stage. Are you expecting a baby and would like to capture your bump? This is a fantastic way to do that!
Are your children all grown up and you feel like they are too old for this kind of thing? Worry not, any age is perfect and will capture your family as you are right now, which is so important to remember. Even if they are teenagers, even if they are older than that – it is never too late for a family portrait.
Bring the grandparents too and let’s create that special generational portrait!
